What type of radiology services can I get?

The Radiology Clinic at Penn Dental Medicine offers a variety of radiographic services for the dental and maxillofacial region – namely, the teeth, the upper jaw (maxilla), the lower jaw (mandible), and the temporomandibular joints (TMJ). With the state-of-the-art Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Center located in our clinic, we are able to provide all types of general and implant imaging services using CBCT ( small, medium, or large volumes). We also provide both intraoral and extraoral imaging (skull) radiographs with a written radiographic prescription from your primary care dentist or a specialist.

What can I expect?

You can expect quick and efficient radiographic services at our state-of-the-art facility, located on the 2nd floor of the School’s Robert Schattner Center. You will be given a copy of the radiographs on a CD immediately after the radiographs are obtained. All CBCT scans will come with a written report from our radiologist.

Who is performing these services?

All imaging will be performed by trained dental radiographic technicians under the supervision of a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist, who is also a licensed dentist.
